Paper quilling flowers....

Dark pink and white flowers

Dark pink and blue flowers

Ok! As promised! Here they are! Woohoo! hehehe! Aren't they so simple??? Yup.....that's simple enough for me to do for now. I'll try and do the complicated designs when I'm ready. Cheeewaaaahhhh!!!! Berangan!!! LOL! For the time being, I'm just going to practice and practice some more with this technique. I can't be an expert on this technique overnight right??? Impossible laaaaaaa.....coz it takes a lot of practice to be able to get it right. :)

I showed these cards to my Mom this morning and she just smiled like a little girl.....as giddy as a school girl hahahahaa......she said she couldn't decide which flower color she loved best because she thought that both colors looked nice. I prefer the white and dark pink combination!! I think that one is nice hehehehe! These cards can be used for any occasion.....it's a small note size card.....can be used as a thank you card or for teachers' day card or for any occasion for that matter. All I need to do is write something on the inside...hehehe.

I'm loving this technique right now because for one reason, I can use up my thin paper stocks that I have loads of right now at home. So I don't need to get new materials to do this......save my money la in other words hahahaha. Another reason is that, I love how it looks.....the 3D effect it gives....and also because it looks like embroidery if you look at it from far hehehe.....well.....that's how I see it la.....some of the quilling designs I see online looks like embroidery patterns......they are so beautiful! :)

Well, I hope to be able to do more of this in future.......if I can find the time la...hehehe.....coz I'm so busy with keeping up with the orders right now. So whenever I need some break from work.....I will do this quilliing....it's like therapy you know.....when you are comfortable with the technique....you will feel like it's a therapy for you hehehe...... ;)

Hi Ina,
I've seen these kind of technique before, memang cantik dan bila tengok rasa susah aje, but I think bila kita dah biasa buat, lama-lama benda yang susah jadi senang kan? Macam menjahit juga :)

Lin,

I think kalau integrate your usual design dengan teknik quilling ni, I'm sure your cards can be kebabooom! Experiment lg Lin!

I love both cards, but I like the second card's composition more.

Selama ni bila tengok quilling mesti mango teringat pita kaset, butang cheongsam atau mercun.

Noor....hehehe....ha'ah la...you banyak dorong K.Lin utk wat ni...rasanya kalau takde orang mintak, akak pun malas nak wat lagi quilling ni...tapi sebab ada orang mintak...so ada la semangat skit nak wat ekekekeke..... :D Noor, why not you visit blog Miyyah@Kertas...dia punya quilling lawa2 sangat tau...and dia kata, tak perlu guna tool quilling tu utk wat quilling ni...you leh guna toothpick atau lidi sate' tu pun leh utk gulung kertas tu. Check out her blog...dia ada banyak tips gak.. :)

Anonymous....thank you ya... :)

Mango....I pun terpikir gak nak gabungkan my designs with quilling, infact semalam Lin ada buat dah design quilling baru, nanti dalam sehari dua ni I will share it here. Lin campur quilling with pop ups hehehe....

My Mom suka yg dark pink campur biru tu...I suka yg dark pink campur putih hehehehe.....

Ha'ah la Mango, now that you have mentioned it, memang betul la quilling ni mengingatkan kita pada pita kaset and butang cheongsam tu kan....sebab dia gulung2 camtu hehehe...

I love how you start experimenting with something and then take off with it! These are really great...I've tried quilling and it's not easy!

Azlina Abdul said...

Sandi...thank you...I was scared to do it at first...it was difficult in the beginning I must admit that...but I guess I'm a fast learner hehehe....it does get easier as I practice and practice...I still have a lot to learn about it :)

Lin, while googling, I found this one website that featured yr quilling, and claimed it to be made by one of the kids during salah satu 'aktiviti perpustakaan'..

i'm sure it's yours, but I doubt that you're one of the kids.

Here's the link:

Miyyah...thank you so much for informing me about this! I didn't know about it at all. :( I feel so sad when things like this happen to me. It's so wrong for them to do this...at least if they want to use those photos, at least inform me about it or give credits laaa....

The fact that they didn't mention about me at all makes me really upset. I don't know how to deal with it now, but will figure it out and will confront the blog owner about this matter.

Thank you so much for informing me about this Miyyah. God bless you!
