How to make two tone tear drop shape quilling flowers

We are coming close to mid February and I'm blogging about something that I did last January! LOL! It's been a month since I last blogged here. And soon enough, after this I'll be blogging a lot more on what I did last January because January was so packed with crafting activities. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the time to blog about them then.
Last year I made quite a lot of this two tone tear drop shape quilling flower for my customers. I made quite a lot of cute thank you cards for them and decorated them with this flower. I even made a birthday card with this type of flower. Since so may requested for a tutorial for this flower, I tried to make one for them. I don't always get some free time to do it, but when I do, I try to make a few if possible.
I do hope many enjoyed the tutorial I uploaded on YouTube.....and tried to make this flower your own. For those who didn't manage to check it out earlier at my YouTube channel, you can check it out at the v…

Quilled cupcakes

My first attempt at making cupcakes using the quilling technique! Again another simple design from me! hehe! I was trying to make the topping of the cupcake a little more fancy but the only thing fancy about it is the silver glitters! hehe! This card is meant to be given to a guy so I tried to simplify the cupcake as much as possible so that it won't seem so girlish.
I'll bet some of you might find this design familiar ya?'s actually a V040 design, with the quilled teddy bears on it. It's exactly the same color.....just like how my customer wanted it.....all I had to do was change it from teddy bears to cupcakes :).
I really love the wordings that my customer made for her so nice! Awwwwwwwwww........ ;)

Craft products for sale

Hello everyone!
I've been getting a lot of inquiries regarding craft products for card making for quite some time now. Before this I've never had the time to spare on selling them. But this year I want to start selling some craft products like craft punch, embellishments, tools etc for card making. Selected items only ya hehehe.
I don't have a lot of craft products in stock at the moment for sale here. I am still collecting some products and also in the process of producing some embellishments for sale. I've already made a new page at my blog under the title "CRAFT PRODUCTS FOR SALE". You can click on the tab to see what I'm selling there at the moment. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't have a lot in stock. But in time I will be adding more and more new items there.

Crochet flowers and felt leaves

I had a dream last night. This card was inspired by that dream. I dreamt that a friend of mine got married. I was at her hometown and it was during the time of her wedding. She was really pretty on her wedding day. It was weird to have dreamt her getting married now considering that she had already gotten married years ago. So I have no idea why I had that dream. I wonder what it means. Hmmmmm.......but whatever it was a beautiful wedding though.... :). back to the card design hehehe. When I did the red crochet flowers previously....I also made these pink ones too. I only bought two color yarns for making crochet and red. So here is my take on the pink ones. At first I wanted to use the crochet leaves but I think they are not that nice coz I'm still not that good at making them....I still need to practice more on leaves. So to replace it, I decided to use multi colored felt instead. And I love how it looks! I can cut out the perfect size o…

Flowers just for you...

I was actually inspired by the colors of some yarn that my aunt used to make her handphone casings. They were yellow and red in color. So I came up with a quilled flower design using those combination of colors. It's a new type of flower design that I came up with using my imagination....hehehe. :D I kept the design simple. Nothing much going on, on the card itself. Just concentrating on the flowers and leaves. I did something new for myself with this type of leaves. I've never done anything like this before. And I kinda like it a lot actually. Perhaps you'll see me doing this kind of pattern again and again coz I love how the leaves look's like flower petals except they are green in color hehee.
The pop up inside the card is simple as well. All I did was just pop up the wordings. I also decorated the background with green leaves that looks like they are falling from the sky hehehe....
Oh! Another thing! See how the stems of the two flowers crossed each …

Crochet flowers and leaves

Hehe! Finally I get to blog about my new experiment with crochet flowers and leaves. :) I've been practicing really hard with this craft for quite some time now. I still have not got it quite right though. But at least I'm better at it now then I was before. All thanks to my most patient crochet teacher hehe! :)
I used to crochet the flowers using the wool yarn....which was a bit thicker than the one I'm using now. I didn't like it that much so I changed the type of yarn for me to use for my handmade cards. I love this one much better. :)
I'm still new at this craft although I used to play a lot with crochet since small but I never really studied it closely, I just played with it so to rules, no specific measurements at all....I just crochet in my own way which was not the right way .......just wanted to have fun with it. But now, I want to do it right. :) This card I made was just something simple that I came up with to see how my…

Card making class anyone? :)

It's been a dream of mine to teach people how to make their own handmade cards from scratch. I do have plans this year  to start a small class for those who are interested to learn from me the basics of card making. I am also interested in teaching people how to quill in my class since I love to quill so much hhehehee. But a lot has happened since January that has delayed my plans huhu....but even so, I still want to start the class this year.
I've received a lot of requests to teach but mostly from people who are staying in Kuala Lumpur. Since I'm now staying in Alor Setar, it's a bit difficult for people to come all the way here to attend my card making class.  So I want to find out if anyone is interested to attend it if I were to make one here. :)
My card making class will be opened for those who have zero knowledge in card making and also for those who do have some basics and would like to improve more on their card making techniques. I can provide  for you the basi…
