It's been weeks since I last updated my blog.....I have been so busy making cards and keeping up with the orders plus I was also busy with the new blog I set up especially for my bead craft. Below are some few new card designs that I made recently for a new customer of mine. She loved the design I made for SGC003 (blue colour) as you can view here
It was a big order and she decided to have them in a variety of colours. So I gave it a go and came up with all these new colour combinations for SGC003. It now comes in colours of peach, yellow, beige, soft green and soft pink too. I packed them up 5 pieces in a packet with their handmade envelopes. It was quite a tough task to do this design in the amount of order requested.....I thought that it would be easy....never did I imagine the load of work that needs to be done for such a simple design. Layers and layers of heart shape paper was needed to make the main design and that itself has taken so much of my time. It indeed was a learning process for me, and I managed to come up with some ideas of how to make them at a faster speed. As you can see, some of the designs I managed to take their photos in a much better angle but some I didn't have the time to do so......so I just snap them before posting them to my customer.....so that's why you see some of them in their plastic packaging hehehehe...........sorry people.....I will upload new photos of them as soon as I can!
Hello I'm Azlina I love to design, make pretty handmade cards and exploring other crafts. Do support me on YouTube. I share a lot of quilling and craft tutorials there.
Soccer Dad...

FD003
Looks like I went button crazy again with this design hehehe......but it looks just right for the soccer ball motif since it has a round shape too! :) This design is especially for those fathers who loves soccer so much! A black and white colour choice that was inspired by the soccer ball itself....the inside of the card is left blank for your own personal wishes for your dear father.
Dad...
Another similar design pattern for Father's Day.....simply titled DAD......the inside of the card is left blank for writing personal wishes....I love the colour combination here....the tile like pattern really stands out from the dark green background colour. The olive green coloured paper is just so sweet. All the square patterned paper are hand cut from a template I made myself. Even the word DAD is hand cut from a template...quite tricky but managed to pull through in the end hehehe..... :)
Happy Father's Day....

Wow.....I've been so busy making beaded bookmarks lately that I have been neglecting my card making....I guess the beads really got to me hehehe.....how can it not...they are just so much fun to play with......well today I am posting this Father's Day card that I would like to share here. I guess with this project I got button crazy hehehe! Love using the the different coloured buttons to decorate the card :). I also wanted to use the new craft punch I got recently, it's a leaf motif....so cute...I've been searching for this pattern for quite sometime now and recently I bumped into it when shopping for new stuff. Inspired by the chess board and a mixture of ceramic tiles was what came to mind when searching for ideas......weird huh? Oh well! hehehe! I don't have a father to give this card to now, because my father passed away years ago.....this blue colour combination card is dedicated to him because he loved blue colours, just like me.... :)
A sweet combination...

HB019 (with name)
I got this soft green paper a few weeks ago and wanted so much to make a card with it with a combination of white and pink. And the day finally came for me to do that when a customer of mine wanted a soft green and pink card! :) Her request couldn't have come at a better time.....I was eager to experiment it and see how it will turn out. I have done a combination of soft apple green and pink paper before and I loved how the colour suits each other and wanted to see if this soft green would look good too with pink and it did.....so I'm very happy with it.....I even made the handmade envelope of the same colour....to match the card.... :) sweet!
This is the same design I made for another customer.....but the only difference is that the wordings does not include any particular name on it.....just a simple "Happy Birthday" on the card. The colour of the card looks a bit different because this one I took using the scanner instead of the digital camera :).
Striking pink and red birthday card
HB018 (VERSION2)*This card is available for order.
(I designed this card as a replacement for HB018 due to the paper which is unavailable at the stores at the moment)
Brown owl with a twist of green

HB017
I designed this card a few days ago for a regular customer of mine....she requested for a birthday card with an owl on it. She requested a card with an owl before which was last year for the same friend's birthday...so I used the same template for the owl but I made the card a bit different in colours and layout design..a mixture of olive green and shades of brown which I love so much.... :)
For my favourite teacher
TD004bThis particular card has the same apple decoration on the inside of the card just like the one in MTD001. The only difference is the design on the front of the card, which is much more simplified with simple dotted lines framing the wordings on the card.
I'm so glad that I am able to blog about this card design before Teacher's Day arrives this coming Friday hehehe! As we all know, Teachers’ Days are intended to be special days for the appreciation of teachers. We honor and recognize the lasting contributions they make in our lives. On this special day, students expresses their respect to their teachers by preparing a special party for them.....they also prepare the food and drinks plus the gifts, flowers and cards that expresses their love for their favourite teachers....Even ex-students pay their respects to their former teachers by visiting them at their homes... :)
I've always wanted to design a teacher's day card with an apple in it! hehehe! And finally I did! The red apple has always been a symbol of appreciation for teachers by their students....and that's what I am trying to portray here in my design.....the red apple with a gold heart shape on it as a gift for their favourite teacher.....with simple wordings on the front of the card, says it all.....with the tiny heart shapes and flower decorations that are made by punched out papers and also cut by hand....adds a special touch to the design.....the gold vines are hand drawn as well........this card would be perfect for that favourite teacher that you have always wanted to show appreciation to..... :)
Happy Teacher's Day to all teachers around the world!!!!! :)
Lots of love for Mother.....
Soft purple paper stock with combinations of white and soft pink....so sweet....lots of love on Mother's Day.....I used a much thinner paper stock, so it's easier for me to cut the sides of the card to make the wavy patterns.....using special patterned scissors this wavy cut is easily accomplished in seconds hehehe.....I love the white paper that I used to make the heart shapes for this design because it has a metallic line patterns on it....it shines when reflected on the light...very nice :) For this design I didn't make any wordings/wishes on the inside of the card....so, you can write your own special wishes from the heart to your lovely mother and make her the happiest person in the world on Mother's day :).
For a sweet mom.....

I love these colour combinations....the peach, cream and green colour is so soft and sweet....I also added some wordings inside, simple wishes for your dear mother on Mother's day....that matches the card....in my opinion that is hehehe.........I have always wanted to write something in my handmade cards, but was never really good in doing so....so this is sort of like an attempt to make it happen....some may like it, some may not....the wordings can always be changed according to your request....so it doesn't necessarily need to be the ones that I wrote hehehe...... :) therefore it can be personalized, no problem at all...... :)
Untuk Ibu tersayang....
I'm pretty excited today to post this design as this is one of the many designs that I will be making with soft colors combination.....and also because I wanted so badly to use the many coloured buttons I have in my collection....mostly I wanted to use them for flower decorations on cards, so I managed to use them in this design... although I have used buttons before in another one of my flower card designs but that one is a quite tiny button compared to the one I am using in this design....I also made my own wordings inside the card in Malay language...."Selamat Hari Ibu khas buat Ibu tersayang" which simply means....Happy Mother's Day especially for beloved Mother.....hehehe.....and I added some simple decorations of gold dots on it.....Of course the wordings can be changed according to preference.....or if you wish to add more to it to personalize the wordings....it can be done...no problem at all :)
Orangy gold flowers...
MBL070 (NOT AVAILABLE)Bright orange and gold colour that simply catches your attention right away....it's a combination of ideas I had in my head these past few weeks.... I have been enjoying making flower designs this way, using the same coloured paper from the background and layering it with a contrasting coloured paper to make it stand out. I'm also loving the petite or tiny flowers that matches the big flower at the top....I just got it last month and can't wait to use it for my small projects....it will look cute on them hehehe.... :) This card can be used for any occasion.....and if anyone is interested in this design...I can also change the colours according to your liking....but it has to be any two colour combination that is.... :)
Paper Lips popping up! :)
Finally today I am able to post this design in my blog....after a long time spent figuring out how to do a man's lips popping up in a card! :D hahahaha! This pop up card is a request I received from a good friend of mine who wanted to give this card to his lovely lady hehehehe! I have made a pop up card before using a photo of a woman's lips that I got from the net.....but I never knew how difficult it was for me to find a photo of a man's lips that is suitable....if anybody knows where to get one, please let me know ok? hahahahaha!
So in desperation for a photo of a man's lips, I even tried to take photos of my own lips to use for the card...but it didn't turn out right.....after all I am a woman duhhhhh..... hehehehe! So I decided to make paper lips with a thin mustache on it all by myself.......and I put a heart shape on the lips to show that he is somehow giving his lady love lots of love with his kisses.....ahaks ahaks heheheh........and the card comes with a matching hot red handmade envelope......the design on the card has some similarities from the first one that I made except since this particular card is to be given to a lady...it has to have a feminine touch to it....so I made two flowers with heart shape petals to give a romantic touch and lots of petite size heart shapes scattered around the flowers too....the two flowers of course is kinda symbolic, to represent two people in love hehehehe.....LOL! :)
